Our annual CE Kent event this year focused on The Bid Process in the Construction Industry.

Held at the Sibson Building at the University of Kent, our half day event included presentations, debate, networking opportunities and demonstrations.

12th April 2017 – Breakfast Event

In response to requests from our members, our theme for 2017 is ‘Winning Work’.  This year’s events will therefore, include topics such as bid writing, unsustainable pricing, staff and client engagement, and will feature speakers from both sides of the tender process.

April’s event saw us focus on the bid process, selection criteria and positioning ourselves to win the bids we want.  Jules Quested-Williams, a sales and marketing expert presented a summary of the process including best practice and key ‘dos and don’ts’.

11th January 2017 – Breakfast Event

At our first event of 2017, we welcomed two guest speakers, each talking about marketing and communications; how we engage with both our clients and our staff and how this affects our performance and perception.

All attending members then took part in a workshop where we debated what we need to do to win the bids we want, with a particular focus on frameworks.
