Women in Construction Recognised at Kent Women in Business Awards 2016

Women in Construction were recognised for the first time this year as part of the Kent Women in Business Awards (KWIBA), which took place on Friday 11th March 2016. Now into it’s fourth year, the KWIBA recognises talented and inspiring female business owners and leaders in their hard work and dedication in business.

This year, the Women in Construction category was introduced recognising individuals in the Construction industry who had made headway and successes in 2015/6.  CE Kent and the committee were proud to not only see the category introduced, but to also have two of our own committee members nominated; Cheryl Causebrook and Clare Clifford.

Cheryl commented on the evening: “It’s fantastic that Kent Women in Business are recognising Women in Construction as an award this evening. I am thrilled and excited to have been nominated as part of this new category and look forward to seeing it grow in strength in the years to come.”

The nominations for the category were as follows:

  • Lisa Feurtado – Fuchsia Green Ltd
  • Clare Clifford – Cablesheer Group
  • Cheryl Causebrook – Cheryl Causebrook
  • Lydia Hill-Wood – LeDellWood LLP
  • Sofia Docwra – Gloss
  • Emily Stapley – Kent County Council

Claire Fenwick from Sptial Dimensions took the coveted award on the night tweeting that she was “delighted to have been named as Kent’s Woman in Construction 2016”.
